UPGRADE FAQ'S

What is the upgrade discount for current Tenant Pro 6.0 users?

Because you are an existing Tenant Pro user, you will receive a substantial discount when upgrading. For example, a new Tenant Pro 7 customer purchasing a 250 unit single-user program will pay $1295 to get started. Existing Tenant Pro 250 unit single-user customers can upgrade to the new version for only $799. Discounts also apply to workstation upgrades. If you have a current support plan, additional discounts apply.

Why is it important to upgrade?

Upgrading now will give you the enhanced power of Tenant Pro 7, which is simpler to use, has better performance and is built on a much more stable database. If you're using Tenant Pro 6.0 we recommend that you upgrade now. At some point in 2007, Tenant Pro 6.0 will be retired, at which time live technical support and the sale of 6.0 Add-On products such as CAM (common area maintenance allocation & utility billing) will be discontinued. Please refer to Property Automation’s Obsolescence Policy for details.

Can I upgrade my previous Tenant Pro 5.0 software to the latest version?

Yes. If you're a Tenant Pro version 5.0 user, you can upgrade to version 7. You can also convert data by converting to 6.0 first, then immediately migrating to version 7.

Will my new version of Tenant Pro 7 integrate with Add-On products like Applicant Screening and e-Pay Plus?

Yes. Your upgrade price includes any Add-On products which you currently own, excluding workstations.

What if I decide I like my old program better?

We don’t believe you will, but we are so confident you will like the new Tenant Pro 7 we guarantee your complete satisfaction or you receive 100 percent of your money back. If you're not happy with your Tenant Pro 7 product for any reason, return it within 60 days of ship date for a full refund of your purchase price excluding shipping and handling. Data migrated to the new version of Tenant Pro 7 will not open on an earlier version. Therefore, if you return to your old version of Tenant Pro 7, it will be necessary to open your backup copy using your old version of Tenant Pro 6.0 and reenter any new transactions.

How long does it take to migrate existing data?

In most cases, Tenant Pro 7 can migrate most of your data safely and automatically in under 3 hours. This can vary considerably based upon three 3 factors.
1. The size of your data file.
2. The extent to which you are using Tenant Pro. For example, if you enter rents, work orders, enter bills and write checks, you can anticipate a longer process than if you only enter rents.
3. The type of migration process you selected. Option A will convert the least amount of data in the least amount of time, while Option C will be more comprehensive and require more time.

How can multiple users access Tenant Pro 7 at the same time?

You may purchase additional workstations to support multiple users accessing a company file simultaneously. Each additional user must have a separate workstation license and a corresponding copy of Tenant Pro 7 installed on his or her machine locally. Each licensed user may then access the common company file over the network.
