Downloading Tenant Pro 7

Stage 1-Download the Update File:

  1. Click on the [DOWNLOADS] push button at the top of the window (this will take you to a window titled DOWNLOADS).
  2. Under the heading of Product, is the wording of Tenant Pro. Under this, it reads Version, then the date of the version. If you already have this version, you do not need to do the Download. If you don't have this version, please go to the next step.
  3. Under the [WINDOWS] heading, click where it reads Download Here (This will take you to a window that is titled File Download after accepting the license agreement.) On this window is a message: You have chosen to Download a file from this location. The next line indicates: SetupTP7v2007.04.17.Release.exe (or later) from www.propertyautomation.com.
  4. Next is a question: What would you like to do with this file? Please leave the 2nd option selected, which reads: Save this program to disk. Please note: This will save the update file directly to the hard drive. Please do not try to save this to a diskette. Now, click on the [OK] push-button. This now places you on a window titled Save As, with a field heading of Save in:
  5. Click on the down-arrow to the right of the Save in: field. Select the option DESKTOP. (Then click on the [Save] push-button.) If you haven't previously Downloaded the update, this will start the Download process. If you have previously Downloaded the update, please go to the next step.
  6. If you already have a copy of SetupTP7v2007.04.17.Release.exe (or later) in this folder, you will receive a message asking you: Replace existing file? Click on the [Yes] push-button to Download.


Stage 2-Installing the Tenant Pro 7 Update:

  1. If you are using the Tenant Pro build dated 01-13-05 please contact our technical support line for free assistance in updating to the latest service release. You may examine your current database build date by going to help and then down to about while in Tenant Pro 7. You may skip this step if you are currently using Tenant Pro 7 with a database build dated after 01-13-05.
  2. Make sure you have exited Tenant Pro, along with all other programs.
  3. You should now see the file SetupTP7v2007.04.17.Release.exe (or later) appear on your desktop.
  4. Double-click on the file SetupTP7v2007.04.17.Release.exe (or later).
  5. This will launch the install of the Tenant Pro 7 update.
  6. Follow the on screen instructions to install the Tenant Pro 7 update.
  7. You will receive a message "TP Central already exists. Do you wish to overwrite it?" Answer NO.
  8. You will receive a message "QuickTour database already exists. Do you wish to overwrite it?" You can choose to answer 'Yes' which will revert the QuickTour to its original state, prior to any transactions you may have entered, or you can answer 'NO' to retain all transactions.
  9. Click Finished.
  10. Tenant Pro 7 will open to the last data file you were working in.
