Multi-User Capabilities

As your business grows larger, more people in your company may need access to Tenant Pro 7 at the same time. By purchasing additional workstations you will have the ability to run Tenant Pro on several machines within a local area network (LAN). If you have Tenant Pro 7 running on a network, you can have up to 455 people working in the same data file at the same time. For example, someone can be accepting a tenant payment, while another person can be entering invoices. Multi-user access allows several users to view different parts of a data file at the same time. Its record-locking feature ensures that no two people have edit access to the same record at the same time, which eliminates the possibility of duplicate entry errors. Each Tenant Pro 7 workstation can be networked incrementally, so you are not buying more than you need.


Peer to Peer Network

In a peer to peer network, James, Sue and Mary all have a copy of Tenant Pro 7 installed on their computers. Because Mary does most of the work on her computer, the data file resides on her computer in a place to which James and Sue both have access.

Dedicated Network Server

In a dedicated server network, James, Sue and Mary all have a copy of Tenant Pro 7 installed on their computers. They all have access to the dedicated file server. The data file is stored on the dedicated file server.






Tenant Pro is not designed to operate from remote site locations or on a Wide Area Network (WAN). However, if this functionality is a requirement of your business, we suggest you consult with a qualified networking specialist who is knowledgeable on the use of "thin client" networks or terminal emulation software. This type of environment allows remote users with high-speed Internet access the ability to connect to a server at the corporate office and run applications on that server from a remote site using the client version of the program. Programs such as Windows 2000 Terminal Services, or PC Anywhere are programs used by some of our clients to manipulate corporate data from a remote site.
